Expression of Interest – National Youth Championships/Alliance Cup Managers

Touch Football Australia (TFA) is currently seeking expressions of interest for the position of Alliance Teams Tent Manager, as well as supporting roles of Assistant Tent Manager and Recovery Manager.

These positions are new opportunities as part of the TFA Representative Program, aligned to an all-inclusive and unified approach to the event delivery and participation of teams from our Alliance States at National Events.

The 2016 National Youth Championships, will see the participation of up to 12 teams from the Alliance States, as well as an additional 12 teams as part of the Alliance Cup, being held for the first time in many years, aligned to the event on the Sunshine Coast, from Wednesday, 14 September until Sunday, 18 September 2016.

Those appointed to these positions will be supported by the Touch Football Australia staff and General Management, with a full-time allocation of staff to provide overall management and logistical support, noting that the potential Alliance state contingent will be in excess of 400+ persons during the peak times of tournament delivery.

Providing high quality experiences for our sport, and particularly our athletes is central to the delivery of this management model during the event, this considered candidates are asked to consider how they will positively contribute to this environment and what experience they will bring as they review the position description and associated responsibilities, as included in this document.

If successful in this process, candidates will need to guarantee their availability from Tuesday, 13 September until Monday, 19 September 2016. This period of time is inclusive of both the National Youth Championships (Wednesday to Saturday) and the Alliance Cup (Friday to Sunday).

These are volunteer positions, with all costs associated with travel, accommodation, uniform and meals to be taken care of by Touch Football Australia as part of this appointment.

Successful applicants will be required to read and agree to the TFA Volunteer Handbook, as well as an agreement specific to this position and its associated requirements.
